The Low Altitude Assault Transport/infantry (LAAT/i), or Republic Gunship, served as a versatile gunship and troop transport for the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Designed for air-to-ground and air-to-air support, it played a key role in transporting Clone Troopers and saw extensive use in major battles. Later, it was used by both the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Imperial Era.
